High-End Gloves for $40, Free Coffee Machine — 'Pre-Results' Before I Even Started

Never got the whole pre-results thing until now. I needed snow shoveling gloves — a store owner pulled me aside and showed me a pair of $200 skiing gloves, tags still on. "For you, $40." The only thing missing was the silk strap bag. Best gloves I've ever worn. Then my coffee machine pot broke — replacement would cost half what I paid for the whole machine. Found a local couple selling a high-end machine for a third of the price, unused, still in box, labels and stickers intact. Turns out it was a gift that was too complicated for them.
