One minute loop triggered the deepest financial boundary decision I have ever made

After a 1-minute microloop, a family member asked to borrow money. The internal reflection that occurred was unlike anything I have done before. I thought about the precedent I would be creating and whether the amount was even the point. In the end I did not loan the money — not out of fear, not about the amount, but about not wanting a family member to start ghosting me because they owe me. The thought process to get there was different than I have ever used to make a financial decision before.
