It's not about reaching the goal. It's about who you become.

I realized I've been subconsciously fighting growth and change — even though it's what I've said I wanted for years. It came down to being afraid of losing part of who I am. Then it hit me: isn't that sort of the point? Long-term goals aren't really about reaching some ultimate vision. They're about who you become along the way. You get to sculpt that person as you grow.
